This is now a mandatory requirement to be able to work in any care setting. For candidates who are involved in very practical hands-on care tasks in a support role to other workers (e.g. listening, organising leisure activities, entering notes in care plans, taking messages, helping with feeding, toileting, dealing with minor medical needs etc).
