Gibson Training was established in 1998 in St. Andrews and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the William Gibson Trust (established in 1906). The Trust was originally established in 1906 to provide Care for elderly and poor people in St. Andrews and for the people of Fife. The original Care Home still exists to this day in St. Andrews.
We became an accredited centre with Scottish Qualifications Authority in 1999 and are now regarded as one of SQA’s five top centres. We are a lead training provider with Skills Development Scotland, securing an annual contract with them for Modern Apprenticeship funding since 1999.
Gibson Care Agency was founded in 2007 by the Gibson Training team who have worked together to develop and implement a holistic approach to care that meets the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of clients.
We have a robust quality management system in place and are audited annually by Skills Development Scotland, Scottish Qualifications Authority and the Care Inspectorate.
